18:56, 12 September 2019 – Latest update on the fire at Worcester Park

Since the fire at Worcester Park in the early hours of 9 September, we have been working on site with the developers Berkeley Group and St James, London Borough of Sutton, and the London Fire Brigade to provide assistance to the emergency services and to all affected residents.

Our primary concern continues to be to ensure that residents have the support they need over the days and weeks ahead. We have ensured that all residents whose homes have been damaged in the fire have a place to stay as an immediate priority.

While the cause of the fire is being investigated, we are continuing to put arrangements in place to ensure that all of our residents living in neighbouring blocks feel safe in their homes. As a safety precaution we have put in place a 24-hour patrol at the buildings which we manage.
