A Caldicott Guardian is a senior person responsible for protecting the confidentiality of people’s health and care information and making sure it is used properly.
MTVH handles a variety of confidential health and care information, most commonly when we are:
- Delivering care and support services on behalf of a local authority or the NHS.
- Providing support to our customers.
We are committed to following the Caldicott Principles in our use of this information, and it is the Caldicott Guardian’s role to check this and support colleagues to follow the principles.
If you have questions or concerns about how your confidential health or care information is being used, processed or stored by MTVH, you should first raise this with the person who you are working with – such as your support worker or local housing manager.
