Essex Community support provides care and support services to people with learning disabilities and autism in Essex. This service is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and currently provides care and support to customers at Moulsham Lodge, a ‘supported living’ setting in Chelmsford. Customers supported can either live in shared ‘supported living’ settings, or live in their own self-contained property and receive 1:1 support from our team of Care & Support Workers.

All customers have a learning disability or autism and are supported to live independently and maintain their tenancy, at the same time we work towards supporting customers to achieve short and longer term goals. Support is structured and covers various life skills, including:

personal care
assisted daily living activities, such as shopping or cooking
managing health and well-being
tenancy management
accessing work or training opportunities
accessing local community groups
