Summary: MTVH has taken handover of the first 14 homes at our site in March, Cambridgeshire, meaning that 14 households can move in before Christmas.
Fourteen households have received the keys to their new homes at MTVH’s Gaul Road development in March, Cambridgeshire, following partial possession of plots 1-14 ahead of the festive break. This milestone means families can settle in for Christmas while work continues on remaining homes.
MTVH is delivering 55 high-quality homes for social rent at Gaul Road in partnership with Burmor Construction Limited, providing safe, genuinely affordable housing for the local community. The homes are a mix of 1,2,3 and 4 bedrooms homes, allowing the site to accommodate a mix of family and household styles.
Located on the western edge of March, the site benefits from good transport connections. March railway station is around 1.8 miles away, with regular services to Peterborough and Ely and onward connections into London.
Work on the remainder at the site is continuing at pace, with the full development on target for completion by March 2026.
The project has been shaped in collaboration with local partners, including Fenland District Council, and is part of MTVH’s commitment to addressing housing need across the district.
We are grateful to colleagues who went the extra mile to enable the Christmas move‑ins: housing manager Joanne Ruddy and her team, lettings coordinator Ben Newton, information coordinator Paij Hamilton, service charges colleague Sarah Romonowski, Clerk of Works Jeromy Green, and New Homes Service Agent Kaiser Khan.
We would like to thank our delivery partners, including Homes England, Burmor Construction Limited, AECOM, and Fenland District Council.
Chatinder Bal, Director of Land, Planning and Partnerships, MTVH, said:
“Thanks to the dedication of MTVH colleagues and work with our partners, 14 households are able to move into their new homes in time for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Without the tireless hard work of dedicated colleagues to accommodate the handover, this wouldn’t have been possible.
“We are proud to be delivering 55 new social homes in March, which will provide high-quality, safe and genuinely affordable homes for local residents.”
