Ahunna Onyenso
Customer Services Committee Member
Following Ahunna’s degrees in Biochemistry/Medical Biosciences and Biotechnology, she spent 10 years as a scientist developing drugs to improve people’s lives. She now works as a sales director in pharmaceutical manufacturing sales, getting developed drugs manufactured and supplied on time, to the highest quality.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been both exhilarating and humbling to see how impactful her role has been in keeping people safe whilst starting to regain the little freedoms once taken for granted. Ahunna has always been passionate about helping people reach their fullest potential.
In 2017 she became a social housing tenant with MTVH, and in 2018 joined the MTVH National Customer Group. In 2020 she became both a member of the Customer Services Committee and Chair of the Customer Council. In 2023, Ahunna resigned her role as Chair of Customer Council after helping to develop and establish the group. Ahunna is still actively engaged in supporting MTVH as a new member of the G15 residents’ group in addition to continuing her membership of the Customer Services Committee.
Ahunna’s mission is to be an impactful advocate for her fellow residents by working with MTVH to become the gold standard in Customer Services.
Pamela Newman
Customer Services Committee Member
To date, Pamela has worked predominantly in the voluntary sector, working in senior roles within mental health, learning disabilities and community development. She currently works as Deputy Director of Operations for Evolve Housing + Support, which provides intensive support to homeless and marginalised people throughout London.
Pamela is also Chair of the Board of Trustees for a small mental health and employment support charity in south London.
She is passionate about giving people a voice and opportunity to be heard, and share their knowledge and experience with others to increase life opportunities to raise living standards.
Pamela joined the MTVH Customer Services Committee in September 2020, to influence systemic change in the way that MTVH works to better the lives of tenants and residents.
Katherine Mearman
Customer Services Committee Member
Katherine is an accomplished customer focused marketer with extensive experience in Customer Experience, Brand, Marketing and Retail Design; which she’s gained across range of industries including Retail, Financial Services and Telecoms.
Katherine is currently Customer Experience Director at Exinity, a global trading and investing company, where she is responsible for delivering a customer focused strategy including new customer technology platforms and an improved customer measurement framework to bring the voice of the customer into the organisation at every touchpoint.
Prior to this Katherine held a number of senior Brand and Customer Experience roles in large commercial businesses including O2, TSB and the Post Office. Once of her career highlights was the development and roll out of a new Post Office brand identity and improved retail experience for Post Office.
Outside of work she is a keen swimmer and was the fastest British swimmer to swim across the English Channel in 2004.
Patrick Symington
Treasury Committee Member
Patrick is a finance professional, originally from the private sector with extensive experience in the housing sector as an executive director, NED and consultant. Most recently he was the CEO of MORhomes PLC which provides loans to Housing Associations. He is also a Board Member of Estuary HA.
Patrick was previously the Executive Director at First Wessex HA responsible for Finance, IT, Governance and Business Transformation. He has also been Finance Director at various other HAs and was Chair of Risk & Audit Committee at Stonewater HA.
Gillian Durden
Property Committee Member
Gillian Durden joined the Property Committee in June 2023. She has worked in social housing for over 35 years from London Borough of Barnet to Bath City Council and Bristol City Council. Gillian has held roles as housing officer and housing services manager. And as maintenance service manager she has lead organisational change for better repairs services. Her last role was head of planned maintenance at Bath City Council leading on asset strategies for property, compliance, and estate improvements and carbon retrofit projects. In her retirement she remains committed to social housing and making sure residents are heard and have a safe, warm and decent home.
Graham Cunningham
Development Committee Member
With his career 27-year career in property development, working in planning, development and main board leadership and governance roles, Graham brings a wealth of technical and leadership experience to our team.
He holds Non-Executive positions in both the private sector and here at MTVH, in the not-for-profit sector. He cares passionately about high quality residential and commercial development, creating enjoyable and sustainable places to live and work.
Graham joined MTVH in January 2021 and helps develop and control our development strategy as well as site level delivery. He works to ensure our portfolio of properties deliver against our strategic objectives and he also contributes at a granular level with practical insights.
Graham’s executive career included the roles of Regional Chairman (for L&G’s wholly owned subsidiary, CALA Homes), Managing Director (for CALA Homes) and Land & Planning Director (for Taylor-Wimpey).
Indy Hothi
Audit & Risk Committee Member
Indy is the co-founder of Future Arc, a boutique consultancy and venture builder which provides strategic advice on digital transformation, innovation and sustainability. He is a co-founder of BTN Media, an arts production company which supports emerging artists in literature, film and the visual arts. Indy is also a cultural advisor to the Mayor of London.
Prior to Future Arc, Indy was a senior economist with EY in London. He specialised in measuring social & economic impact worked across a number of high-profile socioeconomic impact studies which influenced public policy and included clients such as the Premier League and Rugby World Cup.
Indy is the Past President/Chairman at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). A global professional body of Chartered Accountants representing over 24,000 members. ICAS is an industry regulator, educator and examiner. During his tenure, Indy oversaw the development of the ‘ICAS 2030’ strategy which represented the largest investment and most significant change in syllabus and education delivery in the history of the world’s oldest accountancy body.
Indy was a trustee and director of Khalsa Aid International, a charity which provides humanitarian aid in disaster areas and civil conflict zones. The charity was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021.
