MTVH agrees deal to build 119 affordable homes

Summary: MTVH and Vistry Group have agreed a major new deal to deliver an additional 119 affordable homes at Great Haddon in Cambridgeshire.


Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing Association (MTVH) has completed a significant deal with developer Vistry Group to deliver an additional 119 affordable homes at the Great Haddon development in Peterborough.

This agreement will bring much-needed, high-quality affordable housing to the local community. Construction is set to begin in May 2025, with completion targeted for April 2027.

These homes will form part of the wider Great Haddon development which is being built by Vistry Group, and will deliver more than 5,000 homes in total near Yaxley. The development will include a new district centre, two new local centres, up to three primary schools and one secondary school, new sports and recreational facilities, woodland and allotments, as well as new roads, sustainable travel options, and utilities infrastructure, including sustainable urban drainage systems. The wider development is set to be completed by 2030.
