Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) provides housing at different levels of affordability and offers a range of care and support services.

We own, manage and administer more than 57,000 homes in London and the South East, the East Midlands and East Anglia. The scale of our operation helps mitigate risk and provides financial strength, which is demonstrated in our performance metrics.

A- Stable  S&P Global Ratings

Metropolitan Thames Valley has been rated by Standard and Poor’s since 2015 when Metropolitan Funding Plc issued its debut £250m 4.125% 2048 bond.

A – Stable Fitch

Metropolitan Thames Valley approached Fitch Ratings for a second rating in Spring 2021, to broaden potential investor coverage of the credit, and to support the 4.125% 2048 issue.

NAIC – 1 US Private Placements

Metropolitan Housing Trust as the issuer of US Private Placements under Note Purchase Agreements by NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners) and is currently rated NAIC-1.

G2/V2/C2

The Regulator completed the most recent Inspection and graded MTVH as G2/V2/C2 in early May 2025. We are monitored on Governance and Financial Viability by the Regulator of Social Housing.
