SO Resi, the leading shared ownership brand of Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, welcomed local South Northamptonshire MP, Andrea Leadsom, to our ‘MY Resi’ Upton Square development in Upton, just outside of Northampton, last week (Friday 4th June).
The visit was an opportunity for Mrs Leadsom to view the new affordable homes that SO Resi will deliver for local buyers in her constituency.
During the visit, Andrea Leadsom MP met with senior representatives from SO Resi to see the progress of the site, where the first phase of new homes are nearing completion. Mrs Leadsom found out more about shared ownership and its positive impact in helping local buyers onto the property ladder, before concluding the visit with a hard-hat tour of the development and construction site.

It is crucial that the government and housing industry work in tandem to deliver a wide range of affordable new homes to support young people in getting onto the property ladder.”
My Resi Upton Square will provide 54 affordable new homes available through shared ownership to the local market, ranging from one and two-bedroom apartments to three and four-bedroom houses, helping to meet the growing demand for new homes in Northampton. In addition, the development will deliver 49 private homes, with Help to Buy available on many of the properties.
