A key point in delivery has been reached at 55 West in West Ealing, a new 100% affordable housing development that will deliver 144 homes. Partners came together for a topping out ceremony to mark the scheme’s progress.
The development will make an important contribution to meeting local affordable housing need by providing new homes at London living rents. This comes at a time of continued pressure on affordable housing supply across London more widely. With private rents in Ealing averaging over £2,000 a month, these homes will offer a significantly more affordable option for local people.
We are delivering the scheme in partnership with HG Construction.
The topping out ceremony on Thursday 14 May 2026 brought together representatives from MTVH, HG Construction, the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Ealing Council. The scheme is an example of brownfield land redevelopment helping to meet Ealing’s need for affordable homes.
55 West is located next to West Ealing Elizabeth Line station and will include a communal roof garden, providing shared outdoor space for residents, and two flexible use commercial units at ground floor level, contributing to street level activity.

This stage of construction, marking the completion of the building’s main structure, represents an important point in the project’s delivery. Work will now continue through the next phases of construction, with a continued focus on quality and safe delivery for future residents.
The scheme reflects partnership working, with a shared commitment to delivering well-designed, well-connected affordable homes in west London.
