02 April 2026

Summary: MTVH welcomed representatives from Huntingdonshire District Council and Vistry on Friday to celebrate the launch of 134 accessible homes in Huntingdon.

On Friday 27th March, MTVH celebrated the official launch of new Rent to Buy homes under its SO Flexi brand, delivered in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council. SO Flexi Huntingdon is set to bring 134 accessible homes to the community.

We welcomed local councillors and representatives from Homes England to the development for the launch event. Attendees included Cllr Sanderson, Cllrs Marion and Patrick Kadeware and Pamela Scott, Head of Economy, Regeneration and Housing Delivery at Huntingdonshire District Council. Senior representatives from MTVH and Vistry were also in attendance.

The event provided an opportunity to officially introduce the development to key local stakeholders, and discuss the future of housing delivery in Huntingdon. Visitors were invited to view the new homes first hand during a guided tour.

The launch of SO Flexi Huntingdon brings new accessible housing to Huntingdon, with two, three, and four-bedroom terraced houses available through Rent to Buy. Each home at SO Flexi Huntingdon features a private garden, integrated PV panels, and an allocated car parking space with EV charging.

Sarah Ellis, Director of SO Flexi by Metropolitan Thames Valley, commented: “We are proud to officially launch SO Flexi Huntingdon in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council. Our ongoing partnership has facilitated the delivery of much needed accessible homes in Huntingdon, helping to create high quality homes for local families, first-time buyers and key workers. It was a pleasure to invite stakeholders who have been involved in this project from the beginning to celebrate the official launch of this locally significant development.”

Mike Gildersleeves, Deputy Chief Executive and Corporate Director for Place for Huntingdonshire District Council, said: “SO Flexi Huntingdon has been a hugely significant development for us. We are delighted to have worked closely with MTVH to deliver much-needed affordable homes for our local community. The event was a great success, providing us the opportunity to celebrate the launch of these new homes.”

Located on the River Great Ouse, Huntingdon is a market town with rich heritage, owing to its renown as the birthplace of Oliver Cromwell. A museum dedicated to the historical figure is situated in the town centre, alongside bars, cafes, and riverside pathways. Recently, the town has made a bid to become the UK’s first ‘Town of Culture’, reflecting local pride in Huntingdon’s heritage and culture. The development itself is a short walk from the town’s main train station, offering direct train services to London St Pancras in just over an hour.

The homes at SO Flexi Huntingdon will be available to rent at a reduced market rate to enable residents to save for a deposit and buy the property through Shared Ownership. Prices start from £840 per month for a 2-bedroom terraced house.
