Summary: Funding is announced as part of the government’s £39bn, 10-year Social & Affordable Homes Programme
MTVH is delighted to announce that we have secure almost £300m in funding to deliver 2,500 new affordable homes over the next decade as part of the government’s Social & Affordable Homes Programme.
We are one of 33 housing providers and local authorities named as strategic partners of Homes England, the government’s housing and regeneration agency, which has allocated the first £10bn of the £39bn, 10-year Social & Affordable Homes Programme. This first round of funding will help to deliver 73,000 new affordable homes.
Our successful bid is a strong endorsement of our ambition, track record and ability to deliver much-needed affordable housing at scale. The funding will make a major contribution towards our ambition to deliver 6,000 new homes as part of our MTVH 2030 strategy.
At a time when the country faces a severe housing crisis, partnership working is crucial to increase the supply of affordable homes and create stronger communities. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Homes England, local authorities and other partners to deliver high-quality affordable homes where they are needed most.
